The best vacuum for any money!

I am not one to leave reviews, i normally just read what others say. But right now my friends and neighbors look at me funny when I start talking about my new vacuum because I can't stop with the accolades. I did read reviews on this vacuum, but they do not do it justice, this is a bada$$ piece of machinery. I have medium pyle carpet, and I can turn the brush off and it still pulls at the carpet! When you turn the brush on, it almost feels self propelled as the brush pulls it forward. I caught the end of a scarf(by mistake) and it sucked the entire thing into the hose before the brush shut off- looked like a cartoon it was so fast! with the canister 3/4 full, it still picked up loose cat litter and pet food. My carpet did not look dirty, but the first 5 feet I went back & forth I went over twice filled the canister a quarter of the way. My carpet runners have never been so clean, they look refreshed, newer even. My 20 yr old son commented on how much better our carpet looked and... 5/5 Bigant - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright (NV356E) (Misc.) Shark Keeps Getting Better, but Still Room for Improvement

I own all three versions of the Navigator, including this one. I am not a professional reviewer, and neither I nor anyone in my family has any connection to anyone in the vacuum cleaner industry. I bought my Lift Away Pro from QVC.I really like the new Lift Away Pro. For about one-third the cost of a Dyson, you get virtually the same performance. Dyson still has an advantage in the quality of the engineering and materials used, but Shark is catching up. Like the two earlier versions of the Navigator, the Lift Away Pro has Pros and Cons.PROs:- Price. You can buy about 3 Lift Away Pros for the cost of one upright Dyson. Cleaning performance is comparable (I have 3 Dysons, so I know).- Excellent suction. If you have never used a vacuum with suction this good, you are going to be appalled at how much dirt comes out of your carpet. It makes me laugh when I read reviews where people complain about how often they have to empty the dust canister. AMAZING!

I love this. I am expecting my first baby and have become insane about cleaning. I wanted a new vacuum because the pet hair mine seamed to be leaving on the carpet. I looked at reviews all over. I debated between this and dyson. This was way more affordable so I decided to give it a shot.I put this together in a flash(pregnant)It seamed a little "cheep" So I was kinda worried about the parts being flimsy. So far they are not, its just very light weight.I wanted to do a test and see how good it was.(crazy prego mind I vacuumed part of my carpet with my old vacuum. I emptied the content of the old on a paper. Then I vacuumed the same swatch of Capet with my new shark. First thing I noticed was how easy it was for me to maneuver at 38weeks pregnant. Then I dumped the content of this vacuum on the paper to compare what had been lifted. I was amazed.First the pile of dirt was about 4-5times larger than the pile from my old vacuum... 5/5 applelove - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright (NV356E) (Misc.) Very pleasantly surprised

*** 8 Month Update at the bottom of this review ***First let me start by saying that overall as a brand I strongly dislike Shark. I don't have anything against them personally but the endless annoying and trashy infomercials and the fact that a lot of their older vacuums sucked beyond belief, I honestly am not too thrilled with them as a company.A few years ago I got a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum, model 3920, and very quickly became disappointed with it. It sucked well, but within minutes the plastic piece at the top, the one responsible for making the airflow rotate got clogged up with fur and the suction went down dramatically. Emptying the dust cup was the worst part of it, it made a horrible mess all over the place. I suffered with that vacuum for a couple years and recently decided that my time was worth more than putting up with that crap. I started looking around Amazon for vacuums with the best reviews. Dysons, Hoovers, Eurekas etc, but the... 4/5 Michael Flux (Michigan) - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away (NV501) (Misc.) *** 8 Month Update at the bottom of this review ***First let me start by saying that overall as a brand I strongly dislike Shark. Best vacuum I've ever had the pleasure of using!

After reading reviews for the Dyson and Shark Rotator for weeks I went with the Rotator, more specifically the NV502 model found at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was a CINCH to assemble and I was able to use it not more than 5 minutes after opening the box. The suction on this thing is AMAZING, it practically propels itself when on the vacuum base. It's cut my vacuuming time to 1/4 of the time it took with my commercial Royal vacuum! I also own a small cleaning service with a handful of weekly accounts and its made my accounts so much easier to clean, my clients are AMAZED by how much nastiness gets pulled from their carpets (as am I).So glad I read the review left by Michael Flux as he really did a thorough job explaining all the different models and accessories they include. I have yet to use the car cleaning kit but will soon.I suggest anyone looking to buy this vacuum to get it at Bed Bath & Beyond, for a couple reasons. Time will tell

Like most, I was reluctant to buy this vacuum due to the Shark brand and how heavily they're pushed on infomercials. But after using the vac there are a lot of things I like about it. However, all the good things that I like are waging a battle in my brain with how damn ugly and cheap this thing looks. The pictures don't translate how bad the shiny red and silver chrome "plating" is. Oh well, at least it performs.Like a few others, I bought the Dyson DC41 to compare. I bought the Dyson the same day, opened it up and literally used it right next to the Shark. I went around the entire house and did parallel sweeps of all the large areas to get equal samples. I spent the same amount of time and went the same amount of distance with each. I then emptied each bin onto separate paper towels to see which vac picked up the most. Not horribly scientific but it worked. The most shocking thing was how dirty our carpet was. This thing is AMAZING!

WOW....I am not a person who is easy to please. But, I am thoroughly impressed with this vacuum. I was debating between this model and the Shark Lift Away Professional. I went with this NV42 model because it was $80 cheaper and seemed to have many of the same features (minus the lift away base unit.) I can say that my house has NEVER been CLEANER! I have 2 dogs and one sheds heavily year round. This vacuum not only sucked up all of the fur, but also managed to get all of the dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers AND underneath my thick area rugs that I used to have to go back and clean separately. It works fantastic on carpets, rugs, stairs and my hardwood floors AND its self propelled so I don't even have to push it! I even use it to dust woodwork and window sills and I cleaned my entire sectional couch with it - that's how powerful it is! I must say it is a bit cumbersome on my stairs...but not nearly as bad as my old hoover was. If you are concerned with agility on... 5/5 DogLoverExtreme - See all my reviews WOW....I am not a person who is easy to please. But, I am thoroughly impressed with this vacuum. ALMOST PERFECT

What's great about it: Great price, easy set up, good suction, not heavy or cumbersome, love the width of the head. What's not so great: Not self-propelled, hose is not as stretchy as I thought, no on board storage for two of the attachments.Really great vacuum, especially for the price. I go through vacuums fairly quickly so I've had quite a few different ones and I've paid up to as much as $500. This is my first Shark and my favorite vacuum to date.Easy to switch from floor to carpet and floor mode is pretty quiet. The furniture/pet hair attachment works really well. The little beater brush is air driven so it's not too noisy and there is a little slide bar to give more or less suction. Which is nice. There are also two little strips of that red material like they use for fancy lint removal brushes. So it readily and quickly picks up pet hair. Good design. It also comes with a super long skinny nozzle, a short flat one and a soft duster type of... 4/5 RJB - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Deluxe (NV42) (Misc.) Amazing ! A Man's review of a Great tool

First, I'm a guy. A mechanical fix-it type guy. This vacuum does everything it claims it does. The suction is SO Powerful it will lift the rugs right off the floor if you don't use the 'suction reduction lever'. I really must say this thing is impressive, you will never find a more powerful vacuum. It is light, rolls/turns easily. The pet hair 'mini-tool',which also works on carpeted stairs/auto interiors sounds like a Jet Turbine, does not get bogged down on hi-pile carpet and picks up ANYTHING you need it too.I cannot say enough how utterly awesome this vacuum is, I actually enjoy the chore of cleaning!, it's almost fun! The dust bin is EASY to empty, you don't have to touch any dust/hair etc. Just dump and go. You can even easily detach the vacuum part from the carpet/floor brush and carry it around, up stairs, etc. to use the smaller Jet turbine mini tool. It has 2 crevice tools ,a short and long one, and a small brush attachment, which swivels around so you can clean the tops of... 5/5 John in N.H. - See all my reviews First, I'm a guy. I love vacuuming! (Did I just say that?)

Yes, I did just say that. Because this is the best vacuum ever. I don't want to say this vacuum changed my life, because that sounds incredibly pathetic, but it kind of did. I am pretty sure I have vacuumed more in the last month than I have in my entire life. I show it to people when they come to visit and give them demonstrations. Not kidding. My husband saw his parents using it and when he came home from visiting them, the first thing we did was go out and buy this vacuum.I was skeptical.Every other vacuum I've ever encountered was heavy, awkward, inconvenient, tangly, frustrating, hard to store, and broke the minute you looked at it. It didn't matter what you spent on it--a lot or a little--it was still awful. I had given up on ever finding any vacuum that was not awful. This vacuum is aptly named. I am "free" to pick it up at any time with no janky cord in my way! It doesn't cramp my "style" because it is easy-to-use and maneuver,... 5/5 Jillian Cautrell "Wordsmith - Organizer - Cra... Still great after 1 yr

I've owned this for one year, and here's what's good about it. I've owned many stick vacs, and I was pretty loyal to swifter vac....cheap and reliable. However, I wanted one to do my kitchen mats and entry rugs too. This shark vac is great. First off, unlike most cordless vacs, this one you can leave charging 24/7 and it doesn't ruin the battery. This one has a little "docking station" that the wheels sit on to charge. Takes up almost no space. Second, I have a lab who sheds like crazy, plus 1800 sqft of all tile....I can do the whole house without emptying canister and without running out of charge. The front is low profile and goes under console table, arm chairs, and couch. Thirdly, I can do my kitchen rugs and entry rugs with out sucking them up like my Dyson vac. The shark has two settings for rug and bare floor, you control the setting with your foot. The only reason it gets four instead of five stars is that it's not as maneuverable as I would like...doesn't... 4/5 T. Williams (Texas) - See all my reviews, March 16, 2014

0 5/5 AJM - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Rocket Ultralight Upright (HV302) (Misc.) I did a lot of research and reading on this item before purchasing it so I could be well informed about it and the competitors version. I love the Shark Rocket Slim Vac. It is more powerful than my Dyson Pet Upright Vacuum, easier to get up high without a lot of fuss and I can get under the beds without having to disconnect and connect to other parts. It is lightweight and maneuvers easily around and under everything. I do have to empty the dust cup after each room I clean but then I had to empty the dirt on my Dyson pretty often too, so that does not bother me. I love the long cord, I can reach just about the whole house from on plug in. I highly recommend this product.... 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 1, 2013

Nice Handheld Vacuum but here are some food for thought

I purchased the Shark Rocket (HV301) and my review is based on this model. Not sure what is the difference between the two. Looks the same. Let me know if you know the difference. Anyway here is my thoughts after about one month of use.1) Small cup that collects the dust. It's small so you need to keep an eye as it fills up fast with dust and fine particles that this vacuum does pick up. The dust cup which I will call it is hinged to the vacuum. You can't take the dust cup completely off to dump its content. You have to understand how the vacuum cleaner is made up of three(3) disconnect able parts. 1-the vacuum head at the other end. 2-the long stick part of the vacuum. 3- the hand held vacuum motor part that your hand grasp. FINALLY: Great for multipurpose (mess, pets etc.) AND great job cleaning

I've purchased 7 dust busters over the past 6 years, each one giving out before the years end and never started out working great to begin with. This one is different-because it's not a dust buster - it's a cordless hand held vacuum that has a magnetic vacuum brush easily detachable. It also comes with 2 other attachments- one with a brush head, that I use for vacuuming PET HAIR on my pants/coats and works awesome, and another for deep crevice, which I use when vacuuming the hard to reach places IN THE CAR. I keep the charging station next to the kitchen table where I use it the most. The upright station is great because there's no mounting required (you can mount it) -it can just stand there and not look out of place, unlike other mounting charging stations. I use it to clean up food around the table, I use it to vacuum pet hair and human hair on COUCH, for incidental messes on the CARPET- spilled plant, popcorn mess after movie afternoon, great on the STAIRS, the area RUGS, the... 5/5 Momof2 "momof2" (St. Joseph, MI) - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark  Pet Perfect II Hand Vac (SV780) (Misc.) Just OK

I purchased this over the thinking that for the relatively modest price increase that the performance would be better. I was wrong.First the pros:*) Taking it apart and putting it back together is a breeze - very simple to figure out and no easy-to-break parts.*) The motorized brush can stand up to a real use*) The mounting unit is compact, easy to mount/unmounts with, and charges the unit. Now the cons:*) Battery life is only OK - you'll find it lasts a pretty long time per charge without the motorized brush and if you're only doing spot cleanup. But with the motorized brush or really big jobs, it can die pretty quickly. Be sure to read the manual, they really emphasize not recharging until you have fully discharged the battery or you'll shorten it's life... 3/5 Jase T. Best Hand Held Vac Ever

0 5/5 Miguel "Miguel" (SEATTLE, WA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Shark  Pet Perfect II Hand Vac (SV780) (Misc.) This little baby gets the job done! When I see the clots of dust, hair and debris it picks up from my seemingly clean carpet I rejoice. And my truck cab is truly clean for the first time in years. Here are a few tips to get the most from your vac:1. Resist the temptation to begin using this vac immediately. Charge the battery completely and discharge it completely two times in a row. Yes it takes time but it's worth it to prevent a degraded battery from "memory loss." Allow the battery to discharge completely between charges.2. NEVER run the vac while it is being charged.3. Always clean out the debris and clean the filter after each use.I've been doing this and I get a solid fifteen minutes of powerful vacuuming every time, which is all you could ask from such a device. The replacement filters are inexpensive and long lasting, and maintenance couldn't be simpler. I just find this vacuum hugely convenient and a great value. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 12, 2011
