The best vacuum for any money!

I am not one to leave reviews, i normally just read what others say. But right now my friends and neighbors look at me funny when I start talking about my new vacuum because I can't stop with the accolades. I did read reviews on this vacuum, but they do not do it justice, this is a bada$$ piece of machinery. I have medium pyle carpet, and I can turn the brush off and it still pulls at the carpet! When you turn the brush on, it almost feels self propelled as the brush pulls it forward. I caught the end of a scarf(by mistake) and it sucked the entire thing into the hose before the brush shut off- looked like a cartoon it was so fast! with the canister 3/4 full, it still picked up loose cat litter and pet food. My carpet did not look dirty, but the first 5 feet I went back & forth I went over twice filled the canister a quarter of the way. My carpet runners have never been so clean, they look refreshed, newer even. My 20 yr old son commented on how much better our carpet looked and... 5/5 Bigant - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright, Standard Brush Roll (Misc.) AMAZING!

I love this. I am expecting my first baby and have become insane about cleaning. I wanted a new vacuum because the pet hair mine seamed to be leaving on the carpet. I looked at reviews all over. I debated between this and dyson. This was way more affordable so I decided to give it a shot.I put this together in a flash(pregnant)It seamed a little "cheep" So I was kinda worried about the parts being flimsy. So far they are not, its just very light weight.I wanted to do a test and see how good it was.(crazy prego mind I vacuumed part of my carpet with my old vacuum. I emptied the content of the old on a paper. Then I vacuumed the same swatch of Capet with my new shark. First thing I noticed was how easy it was for me to maneuver at 38weeks pregnant. Then I dumped the content of this vacuum on the paper to compare what had been lifted. I was amazed.First the pile of dirt was about 4-5times larger than the pile from my old vacuum... 5/5 applelove - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright, Standard Brush Roll (Misc.) Shark Keeps Getting Better, but Still Room for Improvement

I own all three versions of the Navigator, including this one. I am not a professional reviewer, and neither I nor anyone in my family has any connection to anyone in the vacuum cleaner industry. I bought my Lift Away Pro from QVC.I really like the new Lift Away Pro. For about one-third the cost of a Dyson, you get virtually the same performance. Dyson still has an advantage in the quality of the engineering and materials used, but Shark is catching up. Like the two earlier versions of the Navigator, the Lift Away Pro has Pros and Cons.PROs:- Price. You can buy about 3 Lift Away Pros for the cost of one upright Dyson. Cleaning performance is comparable (I have 3 Dysons, so I know).- Excellent suction. If you have never used a vacuum with suction this good, you are going to be appalled at how much dirt comes out of your carpet. Very pleasantly surprised

*** 8 Month Update at the bottom of this review ***First let me start by saying that overall as a brand I strongly dislike Shark. I don't have anything against them personally but the endless annoying and trashy infomercials and the fact that a lot of their older vacuums sucked beyond belief, I honestly am not too thrilled with them as a company.A few years ago I got a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum, model 3920, and very quickly became disappointed with it. It sucked well, but within minutes the plastic piece at the top, the one responsible for making the airflow rotate got clogged up with fur and the suction went down dramatically. Emptying the dust cup was the worst part of it, it made a horrible mess all over the place. I suffered with that vacuum for a couple years and recently decided that my time was worth more than putting up with that crap. I started looking around Amazon for vacuums with the best reviews. Best vacuum I've ever had the pleasure of using!

After reading reviews for the Dyson and Shark Rotator for weeks I went with the Rotator, more specifically the NV502 model found at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was a CINCH to assemble and I was able to use it not more than 5 minutes after opening the box. The suction on this thing is AMAZING, it practically propels itself when on the vacuum base. It's cut my vacuuming time to 1/4 of the time it took with my commercial Royal vacuum! I also own a small cleaning service with a handful of weekly accounts and its made my accounts so much easier to clean, my clients are AMAZED by how much nastiness gets pulled from their carpets (as am I).So glad I read the review left by Michael Flux as he really did a thorough job explaining all the different models and accessories they include. I have yet to use the car cleaning kit but will soon.I suggest anyone looking to buy this vacuum to get it at Bed Bath & Beyond, for a couple reasons. Wow!!!

A little background. I live with two cats. I have both hardwood floors and carpet. My furniture is velour with soft cushions. I use Tidy Cats clumping litter for two litter boxes. Tidy Cats is a round pellet type litter and it gets everywhere. The cats, while short haired, shed quite a lot and I've only just been keeping up with the shed fur with regular vacuuming, grooming and sticky rolls. In short I desperately needed a new vacuum, but which one? I could take out a thirty year mortgage and buy a Dyson, but everything I've read says that there are several very good alternatives available to this. Ok, so once again, which one? After reading Micheal Flux's(thanks Michael!) review and the fact that it's almost less than half the Dyson DC41 Animal Complete I decided to purchase the Shark. This is going to be in initial review of the machine, I'm hoping to update it as I use it more and more.First of all, I was surprised at how easy it was to put together... 5/5 wordsmith246 "wrath186" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Help for the dirtiest family in the world!

I think I read every review on Amazon and WalMart before I bought this sucker yesterday! The problem with most bagless vacs seems to be that the dust filters clog up quickly and greatly reduce the suction force available. Further, I priced those filters at WalMart yesterday and the range seems to be $8-$18- surely I will save enough over the lifetime of this vacuum to compensate. The fact that the box advertised the mighty power of "never loses suction" plus the 5 year warranty convinced me to spend the extra $$. This is engineered more like a shop vac, in that it bypasses the air filters on the intake, thus preserving suction.Good stuff: 1. the filters are washable, and they've included an extra set so you have something to use while the originals are drying. 2. the "never loses suction" promise is true. Just pay attention to that max fill line on the dust cup. I'm guessing you could break the vacuum if you didn't empty it faithfully, but what the heck- it's... 5/5 Cheryl A. Exceeded My Expectations

I bought the Navigator yesterday from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I really am impressed with the performance and results. I have been putting in a lot of research into finding a vacuum that met my families needs.I own a Eureeka "The Boss" and have had it for over three years. It just doesn't pick up deep, ground in dirt. Plus it really is a pain to go to the store and pick-up bags and make sure your getting the correct one's. That was my case against getting an Oreck.Well I brought the navigator home and I have been converted. I like many others vegged out on the infomercial. They make the vacuum sound like it's going to save the world from dust and dirt. They also focus on how they were able to copy the features of the Dyson for less money. I felt if they had to copy a vacuum you might as well get the original.Well after having spent the last week vacuuming my carpet with my old Eureeka twice, then using a Hoover steam vac carpet cleaner, which actually... 5/5 M. Real happy so far

I just got my NV22 vacuum yesterday and wanted to report on my general sense of happiness with the product so far. The main reason why I'm happy is that I spent a very long time vacuuming my bedroom the day before with my old vacuum, but when I brought this one home and went over it again, I ended up with A LOT of dust and dog hair in the dust receptacle. I couldn't believe it. All that stuff was simply left behind by my old vacuum. That was the proof in the pudding for me.Other reactions:- putting it together after taking it out of the box was a snap.- I loooove the long hose for off floor cleaning. I was able to do my walls and even ceiling without having to move or pick up the vacuum.- The wheels are really great.. I have a lot of hardwood flooring, and I like how they glide on it. With my old one, it almost felt like they could scratch the floors, but these are rubberized and glide really smoothly.- it's easy to maneuver. I know that's the big... 5/5 Paulina (United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Vacuum (NV22L) (Kitchen) I just got my NV22 vacuum yesterday and wanted to report on my general sense of happiness with the product so far. Most powerful, light and versatile upright I've ever owned- LOVE IT!

I bought this in 2010 and it really is what I've been looking for in an upright for years! I come from a Hoover Windtunnel that weighs ~ 23lbs and was killing me. I have carpeted stairs, so wanted a lift-off type upright but the Hoover model is too heavy. Then I saw the Shark infomercial. They always have such clever designs but their cordless vac reviews are so bad, I had to check reviews online before I bought this. They clearly are much better at making plug-in vacs over cordless re-chargeables because this one is a keeper! It makes vacuuming kinda fun :)Pros:- light and easy to push, pull and lift!- all nozzles (except crevice tools) swivel- really easy to maneuver!- so quiet, no high-pitched hiss at all, just a soft hum- this thing is only 10 amps and the suction is better than the Hoover's 12 amp motor- unbelievable!- converts to a light canister- hand held or still on the rolling nozzle base- comes with lots of attachments (I got... 4/5 LILass (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum (NV352) (Misc.) What A Difference

Didn't purchase our Shark Lift-Away from Amazon. However, I had to submit a review of this vacuum we bought in June 2011, as it has impressed my wife and myself beyond expectations! We have owned a Kirby Generation 4 vacuum for many years, and it has served us well, but it's weight has become a little too-much for my wife. My wife had been hinting for a Dyson vacuum, but the price of the Dyson was awfully high though it did have good reviews.I was scanning some TV channels, and happend upon a Shark Navigator Lift-Away ad in progress. In the ad they used a Dyson with the Swivel ball steering to show how the Navigator also could swivel/pivot/steer the same way.The ad showed a number of testimonials from folks who said that they thought their prior vacuum before purchasing the Lift-Away were doing a good jobs. They were all surprised that even after running their original vacuum over their carpets, that the Shark Navigator Lift-Away pulled much more... 5/5 Gary A. Shark vs Bissell...the Shark wins!

I purchased this vacuum about 6 mos. ago in search of replacing my Bissell Pet Hair Removal vacuum. I wanted to wait in submitting this review until I had used the Shark for a fair amount of time. I had initially purchased the Bissell Pet Hair vacuum to help me with the carpet and carpeted stairs in my home. We have two dogs, a Min Pin and a yellow Lab, so the dog hair has various sizes and colors. Our house is carpeted almost throughout (except the tiled kitchen and entryway) in a dark forest green carpet. You can imagine how quickly and easily the yellow Lab hair shows on this dark carpet. I found the Bissell to be heavy and almost impossible to deal with on the stairs. The removable attachment hose was always detaching somewhere, while I was trying to use it on the stairs (either the pet attachment from the extension piece, or the extension piece from the flexible hose, or the flexible hose from the sweeper body. Nothing broke, but in pulling the hose up the stairs, something would... 5/5 Weda - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum (NV352) (Misc.) It's bad enough taht they're bad for the environment, they also don't work as well as the price tag says they should. Thank goodness for this attachment set!All hype aside, this product works exactly as the makers claim. Use the power of your vacuum to get all the crap out of your keyboard, CPU, stereo and anywhere else. I particularly like the brushes.I've also found that the dust I'm after is stubborn. You really do need the full power of a vacuum to get at it. So forget those handheld deals that hook into your USB port or whatever. I did a lot of research and reading on this item before purchasing it so I could be well informed about it and the competitors version. I love the Shark Rocket Slim Vac. It is more powerful than my Dyson Pet Upright Vacuum, easier to get up high without a lot of fuss and I can get under the beds without having to disconnect and connect to other parts. It is lightweight and maneuvers easily around and under everything. I do have to empty the dust cup after each room I clean but then I had to empty the dirt on my Dyson pretty often too, so that does not bother me. I love the long cord, I can reach just about the whole house from on plug in. Nice Handheld Vacuum but here are some food for thought

I purchased the Shark Rocket (HV301) and my review is based on this model. Not sure what is the difference between the two. Looks the same. Let me know if you know the difference. Anyway here is my thoughts after about one month of use.1) Small cup that collects the dust. It's small so you need to keep an eye as it fills up fast with dust and fine particles that this vacuum does pick up. The dust cup which I will call it is hinged to the vacuum. You can't take the dust cup completely off to dump its content. You have to understand how the vacuum cleaner is made up of three(3) disconnect able parts. 1-the vacuum head at the other end. 2-the long stick part of the vacuum. 3- the hand held vacuum motor part that your hand grasp. So....to clean out the dust cup which is part of no.3 above (the hand held vacuum motor prt that your hand grasp) which has the long cord also connected to it. You would have to disconnect that part from part 1&2, walk over to your trash container to... 4/5 Reversemidasman - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Rocket Ultralight Upright (HV302) (Misc.) Kit fits. Advertising misleading

Received my kit today. It fits just as expected. However, I guess I am not as smart as I would like to believe I am. When I read the advertisement on Amazon.com, I misunderstood."Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV350, NV351, NV352, NV355, NV356, NV356E, NV357 Washable Foam and Felt Pre-Filter Replacement Kit 2-pack." In my mind, a Washable Foam and Felt Pre-Filter Replacement Kit, is just that. A kit!A two pack is a kit times two. However this two pack kit comes with just one each Washable Foam and Felt Pre-Filter. (In my mind, a single kit, single pack.) Other than that, the kit seems no better or any worse than the original Navigator single kit. And it will save you about $2 - $3.These items are fairly expensive considering what you are getting. A piece of cut foam and cut felt. One each, thus only a 3 star rating. (Value for funds just is not there.) Two full kits would still be expensive for what you get,...but would be somewhat easier to justify the... 3/5 Melvin Al Farris (Davenport, FL United States) - See all my reviews, July 19, 2012

This is only 1 set and not 2 as the packaging and description alludes to. The package in the picture has a great big 2 in front of the "foam filter and felt pad(s)" but the actual package you receive doesn't have that "2" anywhere. The picture as seen was created to make you think there are 2 SETS when in fact there are not. Even the product description title says "Foam filter and felt pads 2-Pack". The way it has "2-Pack" after both types of filters implies 2 sets not 1 of each type for a total of 2 filters. Only when you scroll all they way to the bottom of the page does it state in small print "1 Foam Filter and 1 Felt Pad". There is so much in the description and picture ALLUDING to the fact there are 2 complete sets that you don't even feel it necessary to scroll any further. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 17, 2013

We have eight animals so I need something that will pick up the animal hair and dirt. This self contained unit works great on hair and ordors and keeps the animal hair under control! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 19, 2012

Great Vacuum beat my old Dyson!

I bought this vacuum recently as I was feeling my older Dyson pet vac wasn't really doing the job. I was absolutely right. Firstly, the Dyson was not sealed and although it has a "hepa" filter, it was losing dust. You could see the dust around the ball and around the base of the body. I vacuumed with the Dyson, brought home the Shark and revacuumed. Incredible! I have a 2 story 1800 sq ft place. The Shark filled up 3 canisters of dirt on the previously vacuumed floors. WOW. I was immediately sold. The Shark has an on/off switch for the roller brush, lights, cleanable filters, long cord, several attachments including a long wand for under appliances or the couch (priceless) and a small roller that is great for couches, furniture, steps etc. It's so powerful that the roller frequently stops spinning on my longer "shaggy" throw rugs. It also emits no dust. Its clean, tight and quiet keeping the dust in the canister system where it belongs. The small roller works awesome. Wow!

0 5/5 Pen Name - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Rocket Professional Upright (NV482) (Misc.) I looked at all the available model Shark vacs and this one stood out due its light weight and not as bulky and disproportionate looking as the others. I love the ease of activating the brush roller brush with a simple push of a button. I also really like the tools it comes with, esp the wand that reaches under my sofa. The led lights are a big plus as well. The swivel turn action is great... Similar to the Dyson. I could go on and on raving about this powerful machine. It has to be the best bang for your buck out there. I just vacuumed with my old Eureka and this vac picked up so much more dirt, I was amazed. Bought at BB&B and used a 20% off coupon. There is not 1 negative thing I can't say about this vacuum. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 6, 2013

    Great vacuum!

I bought this vacuum at BB&B a couple weeks ago (at the time it wasn't available on Amazon...plus it's cheaper there with the 20% coupon). I have wall-to-wall carpeting in my apartment and a long-haired dog, so I win the jackpot of vacuuming challenges. This vacuum was well worth the money over my previous Eureka Optima.Disadvantages:1) My only complaint is that the dust canister is small and so I need to empty it multiple times during 1 cleaning session. But that also shows you how much this vacuum picks up from the carpet!2) The vacuum is so light that it DOES fall over every time you want to use the handheld accessories. Luckily for me, I rarely use those tools since I have a separate pet hair dust buster.Advantages:1) This vacuum is truly not that loud. My dog was scared of my other vacuum and he is not scared of this one. I swear that my blender is louder than this vacuum.2) The filter is completely protected from... 5/5 City Girl (McLean, Virginia) - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark Rocket Professional Upright (NV482) (Misc.) Amazing Vacuum!

    0 5/5 Margaret E. Cullen - See all my reviews, June 23, 2013

I love vacuuming! (Did I just say that?)

Yes, I did just say that. Because this is the best vacuum ever. I don't want to say this vacuum changed my life, because that sounds incredibly pathetic, but it kind of did. I am pretty sure I have vacuumed more in the last month than I have in my entire life. I show it to people when they come to visit and give them demonstrations. Not kidding. My husband saw his parents using it and when he came home from visiting them, the first thing we did was go out and buy this vacuum.I was skeptical.Every other vacuum I've ever encountered was heavy, awkward, inconvenient, tangly, frustrating, hard to store, and broke the minute you looked at it. It didn't matter what you spent on it--a lot or a little--it was still awful. I had given up on ever finding any vacuum that was not awful. This vacuum is aptly named. I am "free" to pick it up at any time with no janky cord in my way! It doesn't cramp my "style" because it is easy-to-use and maneuver,... 5/5 Jillian Cautrell "Wordsmith - Organizer - Cra... It arrived in excellent condition and on time. It is powerful enough to do the cleaning that I wanted it to do. Does not work well on shag carpets but then I only have one small shag. Over all I like it. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 4, 2013

    Don't waste your money

I bought this in store, but just wanted to warn anyone not to waste your money on this. It worked great for about a week, but then I noticed it wasn't picking anything up, it was just spitting and flinging it out in all directions. I would have to go over the same dust bunny, or whatever I was trying to sweep up, at least 5 times before it would actually catch it. The front of it is so big that it can't get up against a wall unless you turn it sideways to use the little side sweeper brush that just flings crumbs 5 feet across the room, and forget about corners cause its not happening at all. So usually before using this I have to use a regular broom to get the corners and baseboards and end up having to go back again after it flings the junk back up against the wall and into the corners. So I really do the same cleaning 3 or 4 times before I get it all or give up and just use the good ol' broom and dustpan for the whole job. On top of all that, the charge doesn't last very long and it... 1/5 Cece146 - See all my reviews This review is from: Shark 13" Rechargable Floor & Carpet Sweeper (V2950) (Misc.)
