Smaller than expected, but a good cleaner.

Despite shipping hiccups and a few cracks in the plastic which were easily repaired with a bit of duct tape, the vacuum is a great little sucker. I have a 2 bed, 2 bath apt. with 2 cats and a large dog, so I have to empty the container a couple times each room. This would be a lot better for an apartment without pets, but in the end it works really well and cleans great, so it doesn't really bother me to empty it often. The suction is pretty amazing, my roommates GF has the original DD Breeze (12 amp, non cyclonic) and this really does a better job, pushes easier, and cleans up more dirt even while only having a 10 amp motor. The tools are simple but work fine as well and the hose connects simply and sturdily. All in all its a great cheap vacuum, I would spend a bit more if I could do it over again and get a heavier duty and larger dirt container vacuum instead. That all said, if you are debating between the ~$50 vacuums, this is probably the one to get as its the latest... 2/5 Jake Smith (Phoenix, AZ) - See all my reviews, August 31, 2012

A Video of the the Dirt Devil Breeze

Customer Video Review Length:: 3:36 MinsThe Dirt Devil Breeze Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is a powerful but lightweight upright vacuum cleaner. I have tried other Dirt Devil upright vacuum cleaners with mixed success. Dirt Devils offer a nice combination of power and value, but I have had issues with quality. The Dirt Devil Breeze seems to follow that pattern. It was easy to assemble and offer plenty of power, but I am afraid that the canister will have issues snapping (and staying) in place.Notes- - The vacuum is lightweight and can be easily lifted with one hand - Limited number of attachments - Actually, it only has one 1 attachment - the attachment for the stairs - Bagless system - all of the debris is trapped in the canister, so the Dirt Devil Breeze does not use a bag. While it does not have bag it does have a washable and reusable filter. - Assembly is simple - it requires a philips head screw driver and about 5 minutes... 4/5 CKE (USA) - See all my reviews, December 8, 2012

A Smallish Cleaner for Smallish Spaces

0 5/5 Oldog_Oltrix "Larry" (Washington DC) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Breeze Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum, UD70105 (Misc.) This is a reduced-size vacuum cleaner, so the canister is smaller and has to be emptied more often. However, the cleaning performance is the equal of most larger cleaners. Their cyclonic technology really does work. This is an excellent choice for a studio apartment or one-bedroom apartment. Don't try to clean your 3-bedroom house with it. Wrong tool for the job. It's made of plastic. It's well-made, but you have to treat it with respect.Buy extra belts, and then remember where you put them. Sooner or later, something will get tangled in the brush roller and you will burn up a belt before you can reach the power switch. It's not a flaw, it's a vacuum cleaner fact of life.I spent a lot of hours studying vacuum cleaners and reading reviews. You can save a lot of work by trusting me. Or, do it the hard way. Whatever. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 18, 2013

Great little vacuum for small spaces!

I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. When I opened it, and it went together like a lego toy, I was skeptical. But it's amazing!! It's never going to be your only vacuum if you have a big house (the wheel base is small, so you'd be doing a lot of walking back & forth), but if you have a little apartment, or want to keep a seperate vacuum upstairs, or in different rooms of your house, this vacuum is perfect for that! It's basically a hand-held vac, that has a detachable stick-handle, vacuum/wheel base, and crevice tool. Unlike the cordless hand-vacs, it doesn't lose power after 30 seconds, because it's electric. The crevice tool works great, and it's as light weight as one of those kids' toy vacuums. Also, when I emptied it (you will have to empty it pretty much every time you use it, but what do you expect?) I was shocked at how much dirt was in it- I'd just vacuumed with my expensive... 5/5 stefany9579 (Olympia, WA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Dirt Devil Simpli-Stik Lightweight Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum, SD20000RED (Kitchen) I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. This Alone Made My Divorce Worthwhile

0 4/5 DaddyDisasters - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Simpli-Stik Lightweight Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum, SD20000RED (Kitchen) So she's taking the vacuum cleaner in the divorce? Big whoop. I get the dog. A man's dog. So I needed a man's vacuum cleaner. For the price of a man's $20. I get this thing and try it around the house for a bit and it did man-wonders with the dog hair and kid hair and even some man hair throughout the place. The future ex-wife comes over and spots my new mancuum and says "What were you thinking? This vacuum will not do anything you need it to do; it can't handle the dog hair or anything else here." I swear to Odin that she said that.I calmy looked her in the non-man eyes and said "I appreciate your critique; however that Lil Devil handled her hair with ease and this house is spotless because of it. Would you like to try it? It's a delightful experience."Alright, one small victory in five years...AND IT'S ALL THANKS TO MY DIRT DEVIL SD20000RED VERSA POWER ALL-IN-ONE STICK VACUUM CLEANER!Sorry. Good choice for small areas/hard floors; bagged versions also available

I needed a very compact vac to use mainly in the bathroom to clean up after haircuts. I've been using a cordless model but lacked the power to get the job done to my satisfaction. So, the hunt began for a compact corded model.I looked at several hand-held units that offered a hose attachment. But, while they would have been fine for counter top work, I would have had to crouch or kneel down to get the floor done. Stick brooms would work fine on the floor, but didn't have the attachments for counter work. That left a canister. I have several other Bissell products that have worked well, so thought I'd give the Zing a shot. Overall, it's an excellent product considering the price. The suction power is outstanding - I'd put it on a par with my Panasonic cannister vac that cost much, much more. In fact, the suction is a little too good - it will easily suck up hair cutting attachments if you're not careful. Zero complaints in terms of power. No complaints... 4/5 Comdet - See all my reviews, April 17, 2011

    This Thing Really Sucks

And I mean that in a good way. Everytime I turn this vacuum on, the cat goes running for its ninth life, otherwise it would get sucked in by this vacuum (being a long-haired cat doesn't help). Seriously, I am really surprised by the amount of suction it has. On smooth floors, there is so much suction I can feel the resistance in pushing the floor attachment because it wants to grip the floor. Now I know why Bissell put a vent on the handle.Don't understand other posts here commenting on the narrow area of suction on the floor attachment - there is a channel on the bottom of the attachment that goes the full width; it even has small ports on the edges to provide suction along walls. Maybe I got a later model with a redesigned floor attachment. But I will agree with another reviewer that says this unit is better suited for hard floors than carpet due to the lack of a beater bar - but it does work OK on carpet.Unit rolls along on the floor easily, with the... 5/5 cacalazani - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) The floor attachment needs a better design

I'll start by saying this vacuum is NOT for carpets, period. It doesn't have any kind of beater bar and doesn't glide over carpet at all. I got this to do quick post-toddler dinner clean ups. The vacuum unit itself has a good design and plenty of suction. It is lightweight and would be great to carry around using the hose itself to clean nooks and crannies, but this ability is limited to nooks and crannies since it is blatantly missing a drapery or upholstery attachment. After going across my hardwood floors it sucked up quite a bit of dirt and lint & I didn't think my floors were that dirty. My complaint is that the floor attachment needs to be redesigned, which is too bad because it's primarily why I bought this unit. The part that slides accross the floor is maybe 8 inches wide or so, but really only the middle maybe 2 inches has a hole for suction. The rest of it doesn't, well, suck. There's not even an opening for it. I'm not sure why the thing is even 8 inches wide, it could... 3/5 Katie Kate "Kate" - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
