    Small and powerful

I was looking for a small, powerful and inexpensive vacuum cleaner, and this is EXACTLY what I got with Dirt Devil Dynamite. I was looking to replace my old stick-type vacuum cleaner which was okay for hardwood, but just too weak to pick up anything from carpet.I already have a fairly large carpet steamer which I regularly use. I didn't want another clunky machine to take up very expensive square footage in my house. I also paid quite a bit for that steamer, so I didn't want to shell out for a vacuum as well. However, I did want a vacuum cleaner with some power to it.1) SMALL: The first thing that caught be by surprise is how remarkably small this vacuum cleaner is. I think the lady in the picture is rather short because the canister part hardly even reaches my kneecaps! Size-wise it almost looks like a child's toy!2) ASSEMBLY: There's virtually no assembly required. Just snap in the handle and it's good to go.3) POWERFUL: It picked up... 5/5 Ena (Chicago, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This thing sucks

I got this vacuum for thirty bucks so keep that in mind. There are units out there that cost ten times that. So how does the Dynamite Plus stack up? It sucks! Very, very well. I don't think I have ever used a vaccum that had such powerful suction. I bought a Dirt Devil cordless unit (the one that no one seems to like) about a year ago and it was garbage. I wondered if anyone really needed cordless while in the confines of their own home. Most likely not. Why not trade the dubious benefits of cordless for maximum sucking power? For the price there is proably no vacuum made that is more powerful. So why only 4 stars? Despite a vacuum that seems well built, convenient, light, bagless, portable, etc., there is one thing that is insanely ridiculous about the Dynamite Plus' design. All of that powerful suckiing power shoots right out a front grill of the vacuum. Like a tornado!!!! The first time I used it was in the kitchen it it literally blew all of the photos and notes off my... 4/5 PhotoGraphics (Southwest U.S.) - See all my reviews, December 6, 2007

0 4/5 usgabear - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Dynamite Plus Bagless Upright Vacuum with Tools, M084650RED (Kitchen) Haven't had the unit long enough to be very critical. The unit is only 7 amps but seems to pick up dirt like a 10 amp, lots of power to work the brush's and suck up the dirt. So far it seems to be a good value for the money.**** CAUTION:Amazon recommended purchasing replacementbelt and filter with the Dynamite vaccum except that they recommended the WRONG belt and filter. Having not purchased the Dynamite before I went with what Amazon recommended which turned out to be the F-12 belt and F-1 Hepa Filter which are incorrect. The Dynamite vaccum uses a F-15 belt and a F-2 Hepa Filter so be very careful to order the correct belt and filter if you decide to order this vaccum...do not rely on Amazon's recommendations or their customer service. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 23, 2011

Smaller than expected, but a good cleaner.

Despite shipping hiccups and a few cracks in the plastic which were easily repaired with a bit of duct tape, the vacuum is a great little sucker. I have a 2 bed, 2 bath apt. with 2 cats and a large dog, so I have to empty the container a couple times each room. This would be a lot better for an apartment without pets, but in the end it works really well and cleans great, so it doesn't really bother me to empty it often. The suction is pretty amazing, my roommates GF has the original DD Breeze (12 amp, non cyclonic) and this really does a better job, pushes easier, and cleans up more dirt even while only having a 10 amp motor. The tools are simple but work fine as well and the hose connects simply and sturdily. All in all its a great cheap vacuum, I would spend a bit more if I could do it over again and get a heavier duty and larger dirt container vacuum instead. That all said, if you are debating between the ~$50 vacuums, this is probably the one to get as its the latest... 2/5 Jake Smith (Phoenix, AZ) - See all my reviews, August 31, 2012

A Video of the the Dirt Devil Breeze

Customer Video Review Length:: 3:36 MinsThe Dirt Devil Breeze Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is a powerful but lightweight upright vacuum cleaner. I have tried other Dirt Devil upright vacuum cleaners with mixed success. Dirt Devils offer a nice combination of power and value, but I have had issues with quality. The Dirt Devil Breeze seems to follow that pattern. It was easy to assemble and offer plenty of power, but I am afraid that the canister will have issues snapping (and staying) in place.Notes- - The vacuum is lightweight and can be easily lifted with one hand - Limited number of attachments - Actually, it only has one 1 attachment - the attachment for the stairs - Bagless system - all of the debris is trapped in the canister, so the Dirt Devil Breeze does not use a bag. While it does not have bag it does have a washable and reusable filter. - Assembly is simple - it requires a philips head screw driver and about 5 minutes... 4/5 CKE (USA) - See all my reviews, December 8, 2012

A Smallish Cleaner for Smallish Spaces

0 5/5 Oldog_Oltrix "Larry" (Washington DC) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Breeze Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum, UD70105 (Misc.) This is a reduced-size vacuum cleaner, so the canister is smaller and has to be emptied more often. However, the cleaning performance is the equal of most larger cleaners. Their cyclonic technology really does work. This is an excellent choice for a studio apartment or one-bedroom apartment. Don't try to clean your 3-bedroom house with it. Wrong tool for the job. It's made of plastic. It's well-made, but you have to treat it with respect.Buy extra belts, and then remember where you put them. Sooner or later, something will get tangled in the brush roller and you will burn up a belt before you can reach the power switch. It's not a flaw, it's a vacuum cleaner fact of life.I spent a lot of hours studying vacuum cleaners and reading reviews. You can save a lot of work by trusting me. Or, do it the hard way. Whatever. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 18, 2013

Can't beat this price point--the pros & a few minor cons

This Dirt Devil Quick Lite vacuum is what is says it is: quick & light. I'm mostly impressed with the price and the size, making this the perfect vacuum choice for the college student, those moving into their first home, and anyone else needing a "light duty", inexpensive vacuum. I don't usually do pros & cons reviews, but what the other reviewers have said is all spot on, so I'll give a quick list of my likes & dislikes on this little vacuum...PROS* Easy to assemble. One screw is included (already screwed into the vacuum's back) for easy attaching, then it's simply a matter of snapping the handle and hose into place. Voilà , you're done!* The PRICE! You can't beat this price. For those who need a decent, cheap upright vacuum, I'd definitely recommend this one.* Powerful suction. Very powerful suction. It picked up an impressive amount of dirt & dust on it's first few uses. I also own a Dyson DC24, which is very comparable in size & suction (though... 4/5 H. Powerful Cleaner

I'm disabled and I can't move around a heavy, hard to move vacuum very easily, but this Dirt Devil is a nice light weight and powerful.I have two cats and when summer comes along there is cat hair everywhere and I need to clean up around here.I had been using a rechargeable vacuum (other brand) because it was light and easy to move around but it wasn't doing the job I was hoping for, so when I saw the name Dirt Devil, I jumped at the chance to try it out because I've always heard positive things about D.D.It's very easy to put together and requires only a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw, then position and tighten the screw holding the back panel. That's it and then everything else just pops into place, very fast and simple. As I said before, I had been using a different vacuum and it seemed to be doing an OK job, but after using the Dirt Devil, I could not believe how much was in the dirt cup after only a few minutes of use. I... 5/5 Kent J. Smythe (CA USA) - See all my reviews, July 4, 2012

    Terrific Product, Great Price

This little vacuum is perfect for people who live in an apartment or small house. It's small, handy, lightweight, and doesn't require any bags.I got this with my daughter particularly in mind. Her house is pretty small, and she, her husband and daughter and their dinky little obnoxious chihuahua all live there. Needless to say, especially with a 2-1/2 year old and that little wharf-rat dog, a lot of "litter" is generated and ends up on the floor.A couple of years ago I gave her a full-size Kenmore upright, but it was simply too big for her useage; physically too large, and she'd constantly call me up to come see why it wasn't sucking up the dirt. It turned out -- every single time -- that the bag was full. Then she could never find time to go get new bags! Needless to say, it hasn't been used very much.So I loaned this to her, and she loves it. It's small and light, and provides much better access to small areas... and there are no bags! Just empty... 5/5 Brian Baker (Santa Clarita, CA) - See all my reviews, July 4, 2012

Great little vacuum for small spaces!

I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. When I opened it, and it went together like a lego toy, I was skeptical. But it's amazing!! It's never going to be your only vacuum if you have a big house (the wheel base is small, so you'd be doing a lot of walking back & forth), but if you have a little apartment, or want to keep a seperate vacuum upstairs, or in different rooms of your house, this vacuum is perfect for that! It's basically a hand-held vac, that has a detachable stick-handle, vacuum/wheel base, and crevice tool. Unlike the cordless hand-vacs, it doesn't lose power after 30 seconds, because it's electric. The crevice tool works great, and it's as light weight as one of those kids' toy vacuums. Also, when I emptied it (you will have to empty it pretty much every time you use it, but what do you expect?) I was shocked at how much dirt was in it- I'd just vacuumed with my expensive... 5/5 stefany9579 (Olympia, WA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Dirt Devil Simpli-Stik Lightweight Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum, SD20000RED (Kitchen) I got this vacuum on one of those Black Friday deals, and wasn't expecting much, since it was so cheap, & the box was so light. This Alone Made My Divorce Worthwhile

0 4/5 DaddyDisasters - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Simpli-Stik Lightweight Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum, SD20000RED (Kitchen) So she's taking the vacuum cleaner in the divorce? Big whoop. I get the dog. A man's dog. So I needed a man's vacuum cleaner. For the price of a man's $20. I get this thing and try it around the house for a bit and it did man-wonders with the dog hair and kid hair and even some man hair throughout the place. The future ex-wife comes over and spots my new mancuum and says "What were you thinking? This vacuum will not do anything you need it to do; it can't handle the dog hair or anything else here." I swear to Odin that she said that.I calmy looked her in the non-man eyes and said "I appreciate your critique; however that Lil Devil handled her hair with ease and this house is spotless because of it. Would you like to try it? It's a delightful experience."Alright, one small victory in five years...AND IT'S ALL THANKS TO MY DIRT DEVIL SD20000RED VERSA POWER ALL-IN-ONE STICK VACUUM CLEANER!Sorry. This review is from: Dirt Devil Type F1 HEPA Vacuum Filter, 3JC0280000 (Housewares) I don't understand why this product gets such high reviews. The part I received was not a Dirt Devil product but a knock off. I would have kept it but the part does not work. The inlet diameter of the filter that I received is bigger than the correct part. The first time I used it, it unseated from the inlet mount. Now I question if the filter material may also be a cheap knock off. Be forewarned, even though the item title say "by Dirt Devil", it most certainly is not. 0, June 16, 2012
