    Small and powerful

I was looking for a small, powerful and inexpensive vacuum cleaner, and this is EXACTLY what I got with Dirt Devil Dynamite. I was looking to replace my old stick-type vacuum cleaner which was okay for hardwood, but just too weak to pick up anything from carpet.I already have a fairly large carpet steamer which I regularly use. I didn't want another clunky machine to take up very expensive square footage in my house. I also paid quite a bit for that steamer, so I didn't want to shell out for a vacuum as well. However, I did want a vacuum cleaner with some power to it.1) SMALL: The first thing that caught be by surprise is how remarkably small this vacuum cleaner is. I think the lady in the picture is rather short because the canister part hardly even reaches my kneecaps! Size-wise it almost looks like a child's toy!2) ASSEMBLY: There's virtually no assembly required. Just snap in the handle and it's good to go.3) POWERFUL: It picked up... 5/5 Ena (Chicago, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This thing sucks

I got this vacuum for thirty bucks so keep that in mind. There are units out there that cost ten times that. So how does the Dynamite Plus stack up? It sucks! Very, very well. I don't think I have ever used a vaccum that had such powerful suction. I bought a Dirt Devil cordless unit (the one that no one seems to like) about a year ago and it was garbage. I wondered if anyone really needed cordless while in the confines of their own home. Most likely not. Why not trade the dubious benefits of cordless for maximum sucking power? For the price there is proably no vacuum made that is more powerful. So why only 4 stars? Despite a vacuum that seems well built, convenient, light, bagless, portable, etc., there is one thing that is insanely ridiculous about the Dynamite Plus' design. All of that powerful suckiing power shoots right out a front grill of the vacuum. Like a tornado!!!! The first time I used it was in the kitchen it it literally blew all of the photos and notes off my... 4/5 PhotoGraphics (Southwest U.S.) - See all my reviews, December 6, 2007

0 4/5 usgabear - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Dynamite Plus Bagless Upright Vacuum with Tools, M084650RED (Kitchen) Haven't had the unit long enough to be very critical. The unit is only 7 amps but seems to pick up dirt like a 10 amp, lots of power to work the brush's and suck up the dirt. So far it seems to be a good value for the money.**** CAUTION:Amazon recommended purchasing replacementbelt and filter with the Dynamite vaccum except that they recommended the WRONG belt and filter. Having not purchased the Dynamite before I went with what Amazon recommended which turned out to be the F-12 belt and F-1 Hepa Filter which are incorrect. The Dynamite vaccum uses a F-15 belt and a F-2 Hepa Filter so be very careful to order the correct belt and filter if you decide to order this vaccum...do not rely on Amazon's recommendations or their customer service. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 23, 2011

Smaller than expected, but a good cleaner.

Despite shipping hiccups and a few cracks in the plastic which were easily repaired with a bit of duct tape, the vacuum is a great little sucker. I have a 2 bed, 2 bath apt. with 2 cats and a large dog, so I have to empty the container a couple times each room. This would be a lot better for an apartment without pets, but in the end it works really well and cleans great, so it doesn't really bother me to empty it often. The suction is pretty amazing, my roommates GF has the original DD Breeze (12 amp, non cyclonic) and this really does a better job, pushes easier, and cleans up more dirt even while only having a 10 amp motor. The tools are simple but work fine as well and the hose connects simply and sturdily. All in all its a great cheap vacuum, I would spend a bit more if I could do it over again and get a heavier duty and larger dirt container vacuum instead. That all said, if you are debating between the ~$50 vacuums, this is probably the one to get as its the latest... 2/5 Jake Smith (Phoenix, AZ) - See all my reviews, August 31, 2012

A Video of the the Dirt Devil Breeze

Customer Video Review Length:: 3:36 MinsThe Dirt Devil Breeze Bagless Vacuum Cleaner is a powerful but lightweight upright vacuum cleaner. I have tried other Dirt Devil upright vacuum cleaners with mixed success. Dirt Devils offer a nice combination of power and value, but I have had issues with quality. The Dirt Devil Breeze seems to follow that pattern. It was easy to assemble and offer plenty of power, but I am afraid that the canister will have issues snapping (and staying) in place.Notes- - The vacuum is lightweight and can be easily lifted with one hand - Limited number of attachments - Actually, it only has one 1 attachment - the attachment for the stairs - Bagless system - all of the debris is trapped in the canister, so the Dirt Devil Breeze does not use a bag. While it does not have bag it does have a washable and reusable filter. - Assembly is simple - it requires a philips head screw driver and about 5 minutes... 4/5 CKE (USA) - See all my reviews, December 8, 2012

As I Originally Suspected, This Vacuum Not Built to Last

ORIGINAL REVIEW:No, I don't expect a Mercedes Benz for the price of a Hyundai, but I have an old Hoover that I bought for about the same price within the past 10 years, and it is much more substantial and well made than this vacuum. From the moment this Dirt Devil came out of the box and my wife began assembling it (by the way, assembly was simple--just a few minutes and 3 screws), everything about it said CHEAP. Good luck finding a part anywhere on it that is not molded plastic. Further, it weighs next to nothing. For those who are looking for a light vacuum, you will like this one. For us, it just felt cheap. Frankly, I had all but written it off until we finally gave it a try. THAT'S WHEN MY PERCEPTION OF THIS VACUUM MADE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.Wow, it is a real performer! When I say it's a performer, I am obviously referring to its ability to extract dirt and debris from surfaces of all types. We have tried it on tile, laminate, and carpet... 1/5 Dan Huse (Woodbury, MN United States) - See all my reviews, November 24, 2012

    UPDATE

UPDATE FOR REVIEW BELOW:Okay...fifteen days before the two year warranty was to expire...it quit charging. With a deep breath, I contacted customer service. I was initially told to take it to the nearest service center which was 45 miles away. I said that was too far for me and was transferred to someone else who promptly gave me instructions to send a clip of the power card and the manufacturer sticker on the back of the vac and they would send a replacement. Exactly six days later, FedEx delivered my replacement vac! I am stunned..this kind of warranty back up just is not seen in America. So, the vac lasted two years which is twice as long as my Shark vac lasted and the prouduct warranty was actually honored by the company! Yes, it can be a bother to have to keep that filter clean, but again, it is a great little helper when it comes to keeping the basement family room picked up and for quick pick up throuhout the house. Is it possible to be IN LOVE with a stick vac? YES!

I have all hardwood and tile flooring in the lower level of my house. I just moved from an all carpet house. It was hard to find a stick vac because every single vac with ratings all had several one and two star ratings, I could not find the "perfect" stick vac like I can many other products I buy on here. I went with this because I have had a dirt devil up right vacuum and it was just fantastic, and so I trusted the name. I have never used this vacuum longer than 15 minutes at a time, I usually only vacuum one or two rooms at a time. I have left it off the charger once and know it gets quieter when it is dying, but I leave it on the charger all day and use it all day and it never starts to lose power. This thing does not lose suction either. We have a german shephard that sheds all the time and a 2 year old who leaves a trail of crumbs wherever he goes. We also have a very dry grassy backyard that brings in tons of debris. THERE IS NO NEED TO SWEEP WITH THIS VACUUM!!! I mean I still... 5/5 A. Fink - See all my reviews, March 26, 2010

    Perfect for what it is

0 4/5 krispin "krispin" (Berkeley, CA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Accucharge 15.6V Cordless Bagless Stick Vacuum, BD20035RED (Kitchen) This vacuum is perfect for what it is. I like the fact that the Accucharge won't drain the battery like what happened on my Dustbuster. This does need pretty frequent cleaning to keep up the suction, although that's not difficult at all. The Dirt Devil makes a very loud, high pitched noise, especially if it's not 100% clean, but I can totally live with that. It's been so nice to have this to clean up after our shedding dog and dirt from our kid's feet. The rotating brush does help picking up dirt from our carpet. We use this vacuum almost daily. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 17, 2010

    Shockingly light!

0 5/5 eV - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Featherlite Cyclonic Bagless Canister Vacuum, SD40100 (Kitchen) I bought this vacuum cleaner as I had previously had a simmilar model in Germany. I was shocked by how light it is and was not confident in how well it would clean, but it does surprisingly well and after a few days' use, I trust it to last.It sucks well, has small but effective wheels on the sides of the hose at the head which ensure it won't scratch hard flooring and the rubber-ish surface on the two big wheels mean that it moves reliably over my varnished hardwood floor without marking. The little independently rotating wheel underneath, which enables it to move freely in all directions, broke off from my original model in Germany - that does not appear to be any more sturdy on this version, but I'll add a comment later if it happens.Overall, this vacuum cleaner is light and effective, moves well across my hard flooring without marking, and appears to be equally good at cleaning my rugs! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 11, 2012

    Wonderful for carpets

0 5/5 AG "ageorge1" - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Dirt Devil Featherlite Cyclonic Bagless Canister Vacuum, SD40100 (Kitchen) I researched a lot and ended up buying this one. I have a fully carpeted floor but I did not want to buy the regular huge upright vaccum cleaner that is difficult to maintain, is noisy and is heavy. I am impressed by how compact this one is, and it fits my needs perfectly. At one press, the wire retracts. The height adjuster adds to convenience. The price is right and it cleans perfectly. Highly recommend this product. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 5, 2012
